The Role
We are recruiting to the role of Deputy Academic Services Manager to join our collegiate and friendly team. If you are motivated and eager to take that next step into a management role, with the support of a wider service this could be the right next step for you.
Key responsibilities will include:
The line management, development and support of a team of Programme Administrators to ensure the effective delivery of administrative support to a suite of programmes
Providing excellent customer service, handling enquiries relating to academic programmes, maintaining in depth knowledge of the University’s Academic Regulations and offering relevant advice and guidance to staff, students and other stakeholders
Assisting the Academic Services Manager in all matters relating to the interface with other areas of the University administration and the operational aspects of compliance
Ensuring the provision of an effective first-line enquiries and support service for students, staff and external contacts through face-to-face, email and telephone communication, that also refers students to appropriate sources of support
The successful candidate will have skills and experience in:
A service-oriented approach and the ability to instil service values in others
A thorough understanding of the student related academic cycle in higher education and related administrative processes
An ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in different areas of the University and collaborative partners towards common goals
Relevant experience of working in the HE sector
