As a Student Support Manager, you will play a crucial role in helping students transition efficiently from home to university life. You'll have the opportunity to build and manage self-supporting communities of students, crafting a positive and inclusive environment where everyone can succeed.
Responsibilities
Manage and develop a team of student staff (Residence Life Mentors) to ensure the delivery of a flawless support system.
Collaborate with Student Conduct Officers and Student Engagement & Development Coordinators to assist Residence Life Managers and the Head of Residence Life to build living-learning communities that promote student wellbeing, engagement and development.
Provide an outstanding welfare service to students, ensuring their well-being and success.
Respond to student concerns and work collaboratively to maintain a safe and respectful living environment.
Plan and implement initiatives that improve the student experience and foster a sense of community.
Requirements
A degree-level education.
Proven experience working with young adults, ideally in a residential setting, and preferably within Higher Education.
Demonstrated ability to supervise or manage staff effectively.
Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong team-building capabilities and the confidence to manage various situations with initiative.
