We are seeking two experienced and collaborative Head of Faculty Operations; each role will provide operational leadership across one of the Faculty of Science or the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Working closely with the Director of Operations, Dean, and senior colleagues, you will ensure the effective delivery of the Faculty’s academic, research, and student-facing activities.
About the role
You will help shape and implement Faculty priorities, lead the Faculty Operations Team, and ensure that operations are efficient, responsive, and aligned with University strategy. This role offers significant scope to influence how the Faculty functions and to enhance the experience of staff and students.
Key responsibilities
Lead and manage the Operations Team, ensuring high-quality support across the Faculty’s academic departments
Support the development and delivery of Faculty strategies
Oversee major projects and improvement initiatives
Streamline processes and embed effective digital and operational practices
Build strong relationships across the University and act as a trusted advisor
Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of Faculty operations
About you
You will bring substantial operational experience in Higher Education or a similarly complex environment, alongside:
A strong record of strategic planning and project delivery
Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
Experience leading and developing teams
Confidence working with senior stakeholders
A collaborative approach and commitment to inclusive practice
