About the Role
About You
A good first degree in Psychology (BPS-accredited), or equivalent, and appropriate postgraduate qualification in psychology and/or a demonstrable track record in research or other scholarly activity of relevance to psychology.
Recent, successful experience of university teaching in BPS-designated core areas of Psychology
Working knowledge in designated subject area, with ability to teach in core areas of Psychology.
Excellent ICT and digital teaching skills, including effective use of e-learning and VLE tools.
Be willing and able to undertake site visits to partner institutions (including travel where required), attend relevant committees and meetings, and engage in mandatory Link Tutor training.
Previous experience of working with partnership arrangements, such as collaborative provision, transnational education, study abroad or placements.
Recent, successful of leading undergraduate modules covering areas of Psychology which either complement and/or extend our current undergraduate module offering.
A track record or demonstrable potential in Psychology research, professional practice and / or scholarship commensurate with career stagee
Applicants with fewer than five years teaching experience in Higher Education of at least 0.8 FTE or equivalent who do not hold a Teaching and Learning in Higher Education Certificate accredited by the Higher Education Academy (HEA) or HEA fellowship will be required to complete an approved Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education course during the first two years of employment.
Applicants with more than five years teaching experience in Higher Education of at least 0.8FTE or equivalent who do not hold a Teaching and Learning in Higher Education Certificate accredited by the Higher Education Academy (HEA) or HEA fellowship will be required to accredit their practice through the HEA fellowship application process during their 6-month probation period.
