Job Purpose
To use research evidence and best practice to develop assessments for entry and assessment in the profession; helping to design new entry routes, new pathways and competencies, and new assessment methodologies. This forms the basis of the 2020 Entry and Assessment Review
Once the Review is complete the postholder will be expected to maintain a programme of ongoing review of our entry and assessment policies, making sure they continue to be relevant and reflect best-practice.
Key Responsibilities
Manage internal stakeholder groups to research the design of new assessments, policies, and rules for eligibility requirements, professional and technical competence requirements, and our assessment methods
Manage, working with, and influencing external stakeholders to ensure we deliver globally relevant, trusted, and best-practice assessments (e.g. members, firms, education providers, governance groups)
Working with policy and operations teams to deliver the project plan for design, development, and implementation of new entry and assessment processes, including member research, consultation, transitionary implementation policies.
Manage assessment policies and procedures through a process of continuous improvement, innovation, and refinement

Experience / Skills Required
Experience of assessment design and development, working in either higher education, or a professional body context; an understanding of qualification frameworks and their role in the professional qualification process
Experience of working with limited supervision.
A demonstrable, positive-impact track record of consultation, evaluation and review
Experience of developing networks and managing productive relationships
Experience of presenting information and data in formats for a range of audiences, including distilling complex information and report writing skills
Understanding how different cultures impact on learning requirements and the impact on professional qualifications.
Ability to work independently, with a high level of personal responsibility and initiative
High level organisational and time management skills, including the capacity to work under pressure
The ability to deliver results through partnership working
Demonstrable track record of successful programme/project management skills
Desirable
Experience or knowledge of the real estate and construction industry, its role and its impact in society and the economy.
Knowledge of different regulatory, professional, or membership body requirements globally
