The Role
As Assistant Professor in Pharmacy, you will deliver teaching, coordinate courses, support the development and delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional programmes to ensure an effective student learning experience. Senior Teaching Fellows additionally lead key aspects of student experience, including staff team leadership.
Based on-site at Coventry University, you will work closely with academic colleagues to enhance learning, teaching and ensure that research, enterprise, and professional practice are appropriately embedded within modules and courses.
Duties include:
Lead and teach modules and courses at HE levels 4–7, including creating, adapting, and curating teaching materials. Deliver a range of learning sessions and provide appropriate student support through both informal and formal communication throughout teaching blocks.
Qualifications Required
Master’s degree in Pharmacy, and active registration with GPhC
Teaching qualification or extensive experience of delivering professional and/or university education
PhD and/or other postgraduation clinical qualification, e.g. independent prescribing or Advanced Clinical Practice.
Active membership of appropriate professional body (RPS)

Proven experience teaching Pharmacy at HE levels 4–7, demonstrating best practice in teaching, learning, and assessment in line with our reputation for high‑quality education.
Skilled team leader with strong digital fluency, you will also have experience creating teaching materials. Enthusiastic and self-motivated, you will have experience in the development and enhancement of ‘active learning’ pedagogy as appropriate to current Pharmacy practice.
