We are currently looking for an experienced Research Data Governance Officer and Data to join our Clinical Practice Research Datalink function in the Safety and Surveillance group.
Within a week of working here, your day could look like this: to provide research data governance support across all CPRD teams. The purpose of the role is to help ensure that CPRD’s primary care and linked data assets are managed and used legally, ethically, securely, efficiently and effectively to maximise the value of CPRD’s research data for public health research. The post holder will also liaise with internal and external stakeholders as required.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree qualification or relevant qualification/experience in life sciences, healthcare, law, ethics, information management or information governance.
Experience of data or information governance, risk and compliance (GRC), ideally in an NHS, health, health research or health research services organisation.
The ability to develop, implement, maintain and review systems and services to ensure delivery of professional excellence.
The ability to remain alert to emerging issues and trends which might impact your work area.
Knowledge of the benefits and sensitivities of using patient records in research.
