Brisbane School of Theology (BST) invites applications from global leaders with a passion for Christ-centred formation, rigorous theological education, and partnership with the church for mission. BST forms Christians for maturity, ministry, and mission through academically excellent, pastorally informed, interdenominational theological education.
This is a senior leadership role shaping mission, culture, academic quality, and global partnerships. An Operations Manager leads day-to-day operations (governance workflows, compliance, HR systems, staffing administration, finance), enabling the Principal to focus on theological leadership, partnerships, strategy, and formation.
The role
Lead BST’s Christ-centred vision, culture, and formation
Provide senior academic leadership and foster a healthy scholarly culture
Build deep partnerships with churches, denominations, and mission organisations
Lead strategic renewal with wisdom and gentleness
Represent BST publicly; cultivate donors and strategic partners
Provide strategic oversight of governance and regulatory stewardship in partnership with the Board and Operations Manager
The candidate
Mature Christian faith; evangelical, Bible-centred convictions with a generous spirit
Doctoral qualification in theology or a related discipline
Proven academic leadership and commitment to rigorous, pastorally-informed theological education
Strong relationship-builder with churches and mission agencies; cross-cultural and missional orientation
Wise change leader: relational, discerning, courageous
Comfortable leading through senior staff; builds trust, works collaboratively, defines clear accountability, enables strong ownership and initiative
