The UK Data Archive is seeking a highly organised and service-focused Departmental Administrator to join our Business Strategy and Operations team on a part-time, job-share basis.
You will work in close partnership with an existing post-holder to ensure seamless day-to-day administrative support and continuity of service across the organisation. Working patterns and hours will be agreed between the successful candidate, the job-share partner, and the line manager to meet business needs.
You will provide high-quality administrative support to colleagues across the organisation, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of operations. Key responsibilities include:
Coordinating staff business travel and related logistics.
Managing calendars, meeting room bookings, and shared inboxes.
Overseeing facilities requests and general office operations.
Delivering a professional front-of-house and reception service as the first point of contact.
Supporting HR and recruitment administration.
Working collaboratively within the job-share arrangement to maintain consistent communication and service delivery.

You will bring:
Proven experience working within a busy administrative environment supporting multiple business processes.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands.

Confidence using digital systems (e.g. calendars, databases, booking systems, online workflows).
A proactive, flexible approach and strong attention to detail.
