Mansfield College proposes to elect up to four Visiting Fellowships for all or part of the academic year October 2026-September 2027. The purpose of the Visiting Fellowship, which is non-stipendiary, is to provide a social and academic base for visiting scholars to conduct research in Oxford University, to have access to University libraries, and to use the College as a means of establishing contact with other scholars in the College and the University. This year, Visiting Fellowships are open to scholars whose interests lie within the following subjects: Computer Science, Engineering Science, Materials Science, Mathematics and Physics.
Visiting Fellows will be full members of the Senior Common Room. The Fellowship covers 2 free meals per week and 3 dinners per term. The College is unable to provide study space or residential accommodation.
Please note that the Fellowship is not suitable for DPhil/PhD students, post-doctoral researchers, or academics holding a post in Oxford.
