The successful candidate will undertake a range of teaching and academic duties, including:

  • Delivering an average of four ‘weighted’ teaching hours per week across three eight-week terms, primarily through tutorials. Weighted hours allow for variation depending on class size.

    • Ethics (second- and third-year students);
    • At least two advanced undergraduate Philosophy papers.

  • Supporting the organisation and administration of Philosophy teaching within the College, working collaboratively with colleagues in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE), and Philosophy and Theology.
  • Acting, if required, as a College Advisor to a small number of postgraduate students, offering academic guidance and pastoral support.

Additional Duties

There may be opportunities to undertake further teaching or related duties for which additional payment will be made on an hourly basis.
