About us

pointblank is an award-winning music school with campuses in London and Los Angeles, and a robust presence in Ibiza and online. The School specialises in Higher Education and professional courses across a range of creative disciplines including Music Production, Sound Engineering, DJ Performance, Singing and Songwriting, Music Business and Radio Production.

We hold Taught Degree Awarding Powers (TDAPs), which allows us to award our own degrees and maintain control over academic standards and student experience.

Our mission is to break down the barriers to music education, making it accessible, inclusive, and inspiring for all.

About the role

The Disability and Wellbeing Advisor will act as a named point of contact for students in need of wellbeing support and, in liaison with relevant staff in the wider Registry department, co-ordinate support for students in order to mitigate barriers to their education. This includes meeting students 1-2-1 to offer support and guidance, and triaging students into specialist services (such as counselling).

About You

You will have practical experience from working in Further/Higher Education and experience of providing one-to-one support to students, or clients in other similar sectors. You will have experience of working with a diverse community and assessing and managing risk, particularly relating to students in crisis and safeguarding. With a good understanding of students’ issues and the demands on student life, and excellent customer service skills, you will be able to work calmly under pressure and work effectively and ethically with students experiencing challenging circumstances.

This is an incredible opportunity for you to join an exciting company with prospects for personal development and your commitment to excellence will be instrumental in achieving our goals.
