MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, UK Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Scientist position in the laboratory of Dr Madeline Lancaster at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) to work within a programme on brain development in cerebral organoids. Specifically, the project will investigate the mechanisms underlying interaction of sex hormones and genetics in neurogenesis. In addition, the research will investigate the roles of microRNAs in human neural stem cells.
Applicants should have a PhD in a subject relevant to the envisioned project or be due to complete a relevant PhD within six months. Experience of neural organoids, bioinformatics, and human pluripotent stem cell culture and genetic manipulation are required for this role. Experience of analysis of single cell RNA-seq, histological analysis, and live imaging would be desired.
This is a two-year training and development position suitable for you if you have recently completed your doctoral studies, or you are looking to move into a new research discipline and/or need to further develop your research skills.
