Post Summary:

The School of Education seeks to appoint an Assistant Professor in AI and Technology for Education (Specific Purpose).

The Assistant Professor in AI and Technology for Education will contribute to programme development, teaching, supervision and research in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and technology for education. The post-holder will develop and deliver modules on AI literacy, learning analytics, educational technologies, digital pedagogy, and the ethical use of AI in learning environments. They will also conduct high‑quality research, secure funding, and support the development of innovative, evidence‑based uses of AI in education.

The purpose of this role is to develop programme offerings in the area of AI and technology for learning within the School’s suite of programmes. Employment is not offered on an indefinite duration basis as once the programme development project is completed, this post will no longer be required.

Salary: Appointment will be made on the Assistant Professor Merged Salary Scale (109BN) commensurate with qualifications / experience and in line with Public Sector Pay Policy [€43,425 - €103,582 per annum] www.tcd.ie/hr/assets/pdf/monthly_academic.pdf.
