Trinity Hall is seeking to appoint a Schools and Colleges Liaison Officer (SCLO) on a 12 months fixed term contract to work in our busy and friendly Admissions and Tutorial Office, which aims to provide a seamless administrative process from initial engagements with potential undergraduates and postgraduates all the way through to the completion of their courses.

What We are looking For

  • The successful candidate will have excellent communication, IT, organisational and administrative skills
  • They will be educated to degree level with an understanding of Widening Participation and knowledge of the structure and systems of higher education and secondary schools in the UK
  • The role requires some travel outside of the Cambridge area and working outside of normal office hours when required

Due to the nature of the role, a satisfactory Enhanced DBS Check is conditional for a successful appointment.

Duties

The SCLO's duties are necessarily varied and include a range of responsibilities, some of which are shared, but some of which will require independent and unsupervised work.

The main duties of the SCLO include:

  • Working closely with the Director of Admissions, the Admissions Officer, as well as other academic and administrative staff.
  • Expected to work with current undergraduates and postgraduates, both in Trinity Hall and in the wider University.
  • Within the Admissions and Tutorial Office Team structure, the SCLO is directly responsible to the Director of Admissions and would be expected to undertake Tutorial Team shared responsibilities.
