We are looking to recruit an experienced, dedicated and forward-thinking IT Manager (or aspiring Deputy) to lead the development and delivery of our institution's IT strategy.

This is a key leadership role, liaising with numerous stakeholders on day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for a team of 4 specialists, and ensure that the College's technology services are secure, reliable and aligned with both academic and operational priorities.

You will be committed to delivering effective, user-focused services and to supporting continuous improvement across the College's digital provision. You will have excellent communication and organisation skills, as well as strong influencing skills with respect to the adoption of new ideas and technologies, in particular AI.

The successful candidate will be working at Central Site, on Trinity Lane, in the centre of Cambridge.

Duties

  • To be responsible for the security of the IT systems.
  • Provide leadership and line management of IT staff.
  • To liaise with key stakeholders to develop, plan, initiate and monitor our electronic data environment and systems to be GDPR compliant.
  • To be responsible for the performance of all relevant IT related systems and services (including networks), monitoring usage and resolving issues.
  • To be responsible for cyber-security of the College.
  • To keep the College well informed of IT matters, including fostering close relationships with key stakeholders
