The College is seeking to appoint a Day Porter to provide an efficient and friendly service to students, visitors, Fellows and staff of the College. Duties include greeting visitors, providing a telephone and mail delivery services, setting up rooms for conferences, security, fire and emergency response at both on and offsite buildings.

Currently working a rotating roster of 11.5 hour shifts, you will work 4 shifts on and 4 shifts off. The hours will be 7am to 7pm with 30 minute break.

You will be courteous, professional and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be flexible and understand the importance of discretion and sensitivity. You will be the first point of contact in emergency and must therefore cope well under pressure and be able to act on your own initiative. Previous experience in a similar environment and a first aid qualification are desirable.

The postholder should hold a full driving licence to enable use of the College van to offsite properties. A Basic DBS check will be required.
