Research Services (RS) has a key role to play in the continued delivery of the University’s Research Strategy through providing targeted and specialist support to the University’s researchers.

We’re looking for a Research Funding and Development Co-ordinator to join our Research Services pre-award team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the University’s research portfolio and supporting researchers to achieve funding success.
Key duties include:
As part of our dynamic Research Funding, Development and Governance team, you will:
Coordinate research funding submissions, ensuring proposals are high quality and competitive.
Provide expert advice on funder guidelines, eligibility and costing.
Help embed research impact into project design, supporting projects that have real-world benefits.
Develop and share clear, practical guidance for researchers through training, information sessions, workshops and events.
Act as a central point of contact for internal funding processes, making them smooth and efficient.
Support the delivery of exciting strategic and transdisciplinary projects.
Work closely with academics, research centres, and professional services across the University to enable research excellence.

Our Successful Candidate
We’re looking for someone who is:
Educated to degree level (or equivalent experience).
Knowledgeable about the higher education sector and research funding landscape.
Confident in providing advice, preparing bids, and ensuring projects stay on track.
Skilled in communication - both written and verbal - with strong attention to detail.
Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities, and enjoy working as part of a team.
Experience with research costing, pricing, or full economic costing would be a bonus, but training and support will be provided.
