What you'll do
Support the kitchen team to deliver high-quality, delicious food
Work in a fast-paced, professional environment
Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene
Learn, develop, and grow alongside experienced chefs
This is a full-time role (36.5 hours per week on a 5/7 contract) with early, mid, and late shifts (7:30am–8:30pm), including weekend work, based at a world-class university.
About you
You’re passionate, motivated, and ready to grow as a chef in a busy, rewarding kitchen.
A real passion for cooking great food, with previous junior chef experience ideal but not essential
An NVQ in Food Preparation is a bonus, with full training provided for the right candidate
Someone who thrives under pressure and enjoys a varied, fast-paced environment
A positive attitude with strong teamwork skills — personality matters just as much as ability
Eagerness to learn, develop, and be part of a supportive, hardworking team
