Our Student Wellbeing & Success service provides holistic, person‑centred support to students experiencing psychological, social or financial challenges, alongside proactive interventions to enhance engagement and success. We work collaboratively with academic and professional colleagues to ensure students have the best possible opportunity to thrive.
Aligned to the mental health strand of the service, our specialist advisors provide triage, assessment, short‑term psychological interventions and support with accessing external services. The team also leads on safeguarding, risk and critical incident responses, offering consultation and guidance to colleagues across the institution.
The primary focus of this role is the delivery of non‑urgent, high‑quality one‑to‑one psychological interventions and case coordination for students experiencing distress or reduced wellbeing. The role also includes delivering proactive group sessions and workshops.

The post holder will manage a caseload and offer single‑session or short‑term interventions addressing issues such as anxiety, low mood, exam stress, sleep difficulties, workload management and procrastination. You will work effectively with a diverse student community, including neuro‑diverse students and those from underrepresented groups.
