Do you have a passion for physical activity and wellbeing? Kent Sport has an exciting part-time opportunity for a Health and Fitness Instructor to compliment the Health and Fitness Team. Join us and help to ensure the efficient and effective day-to-day running of the health, fitness and dance studio facilities.
You will help to support and deliver established fitness services, group exercise timetables and an annual calendar of health and fitness events and promotions, supporting the wider departmental strategy. You will play a key part in ensuring facilities and services remain inclusive and accessible to all.
While this is a part-time role (14 hours per week), there may be the opportunity to work additional Timesheet hours delivering personal training or group exercise, subject to demand, availability and qualification.
As Health and Fitness Instructor you can expect to be involved in:
The practical delivery and customer support in the fitness suites and studio. You will be team focused and able to work effectively to contribute to the delivery of outstanding customer service whilst ensuring a professional and positive user experience for all.
You will need excellent interpersonal skills including communication and leadership skills, with a flexible approach to working within a rota shift pattern supporting operational needs.
What will you bring to the role?
A professional qualification in Health & Fitness (Level 2/3 Health and Fitness qualification/PT) and Group Exercise/Coaching qualifications
Proven experience of working in a dynamic and service driven fitness environment plus experience of leading various exercise classes
A practical understanding and experience of health and fitness training principles and prescription along with excellent customer service skills.
